Why do you want a tarot reading?

Posted by LadyCristobel on August 30, 2010

In times of uncertainty we all want to know that our future is secure. We want assurance that our job is safe, that our families are happy and secure and that no harm will befall us or our loved ones. wheel of fortune

And sometimes we want somehow to gather ‘inside knowledge’ that will give us extra confidence in the future.

Many people read their horoscope in the newspaper or magazine and believe the bits that interest them. Or they seek reassurance from their best friend that they are making the right choices.

Some people visit a tarot reader for a personal journey of exploration and to shed light on how things might turn out – and sometimes to get answers to specific issues that are worrying.

Tarot readers hear questions from their clients on most of life’s subjects. People want answers to questions like

Should I leave my lover?
Will I meet the man of my dreams?
What will happen if I accept this exciting overseas posting?
Will my current problem soon be solved?
Are we secure financially?
Should we consider moving house?

Consulting the tarot deck will certainly shed light on the way things are and the many influences impinging on your life. The tarot cannot give you answers but it will certainly illuminate your path as you search for a way forward. And it can help you make choices.

Your reading is the result of the cards in the deck being in a specific order.

YOU are the one who shuffles the deck of cards, YOU are the one who cuts the cards and hands them back to the tarot reader.

The order of the cards in the pack is what determines the way the cards are read in the tarot spread. So the tarot reader is presented with the order of the cards by the questioner, and reads the spread accordingly.

An exciting and revealing experience. It’s not magic.

Tarot on YouTube

This is worth watching to give a nice overview of the Rider Waite Tarot phenomenon and why people remain fascinated about what the Tarot can foretell.

Many thanks to Mary Greer on whose blog I found this link.

Looking forward to a summer tarot party for 10

Three Tarot cards from the Rider Waite deck

Lady Cristobel is looking forward to meeting a group of clients who enjoyed a summer tarot party last year.

A Tarot party is a novel and mystical way to share an afternoon with friends, and to think about what life has in store.

It will be exciting to meet these friends again and give follow-up readings – and see how rewarding their lives have been for themselves and their loved ones this past year.

Let’s hope the sun shines on us once more and we can ask the tarot for guidance as we move towards 2011.

Excellent evening at Aberdeen’s G Casino

Posted by LadyCristobel on August 26, 2010

A number of ladies enjoyed tarot readings at Aberdeen’s G Casino yesterday evening, thanks to a well-organised ‘Be Gorgeous’ evening.

With lingerie and lotions and potions and photography and beautiful jewellery from Beadzmania, we all had a good time.

And some interesting tarot sessions gave pause for thought for several gorgeous ladies. We look forward to meeting up again at another local ladies evening. and thanks to G Casino.

A rainy tarot day

Posted by LadyCristobel on August 24, 2010

Tarot cards and wooden boxSunday saw Lady Cristobel meeting a number of tarot clients at Castle Fraser in Aberdeenshire.

Despite the rain it was a very success medieval day with a number of interesting and illuminating tarot readings.

I am always surprised how some of the tarot cards are determined to be visible to a client and jump out from the pack while the client is shuffling the deck. We have some fascinating ‘jumpers’ on Sunday and several clients asked for clarification of their future plans.

Many thanks to all who gave such positive feedback and to The National Trust for Scotland for inviting us to participate in their medieval day.
